I believe that Baku Water Week will create an opportunity for the private sector and experts to come up with innovative ways to solve problems based on new ideas, along with government agencies. Panel discussions at the conference within Baku Water Week will provide an ideal setting for addressing issues pertaining to the management of water resources, water supply, and related subjects. The discussion will help develop practical solutions as well as educate the public about the significance of sustainable use and management of water resources.

         I would like to inform you that the improvement of Azerbaijan’s water infrastructure is one of the top priorities of the state's socio-economic policy. Reassessments of surface and subsurface water resources, significant progress towards integrated resource management, and enhanced drinking water supply are all underway in order to ensure water security.

         After 30 years of enemy occupation, our regions had been liberated from enemy rule thanks to the magnificent victory gained in the 44-day Patriotic War. Currently, new water reservoirs are being constructed in the liberated territories and the existing water bodies are undergoing extensive restoration. The implementation of water initiatives will revitalise Karabakh. These initiatives also aim to guarantee food security in the nation, boost employment, and enhance the living conditions of displaced individuals.

         Baku Water Week will provide new initiatives and the establishment of effective business relations, and will contribute to the development of the country’s water industry.

         I hope that each of you will have new possibilities and mutual cooperation will be built within Baku Water Week.
