12 march 2024 0000
On March 12, the opening of the International Exhibition “Water Management” took place at the Baku Expo Center.
The event is being held for the first time and organized within the framework of the Baku Water Week by Caspian Event Organizers and its international partners Caspian Event Management and ICA Events. The event is actively supported by the State Water Resources Agency of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijan Exhibition Organizers Association (ASTA).
The event strives to attract new technologies, equipment, and investments, bolster water supply industry in light of restoration and reconstruction activities in Karabakh (ultimately factoring in the development in this field across the country), and promote discussions over critical issues, new projects, and cooperation in this field.
Attending the official opening ceremony of the exhibition were Zaur Mikayilov, Chairman of the Azerbaijan State Water Resources Agency; Goshgar Tahmazli, Chairman of the Food Safety Agency of Azerbaijan; Sahib Alakbarov, Deputy Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan; Ahmad Ahmadzada, Advisor to the Prime-Minister of Azerbaijan; Edward Stroon, Director of ICA Group; and Farid Mammadov, General Director of Caspian Event Organizers.
Chairman Zaur Mikayilov congratulated the guests on the inauguration of Baku Water Week, pointing out that as years pass by, it has become a good tradition to hold large-scale exhibition events. He underscored the sheer significance of the current event, a display of the critical role Azerbaijan plays in national, regional, and global-level environmental matters.
Mr Mikayilov said Baku Water Week would heavily boost the development in this sector of economy, as well as help improve the environment and ecology across the region. A first-timer in Azerbaijan, the exhibition is set to bring new opportunities to the table in terms of creating links between government and private organizations and companies. Overall, the Week will play its role in analyzing the current industry issues and working out innovative ways towards their resolution.
ICA Group Director Edward Stroon congratulated the audience on the inauguration of Baku Water Week; he provided statistics on the participants of the exhibition and conference and thanked the State Water Resources Agency and other partners.
Over 90 companies from 16 countries are participating in Baku Water Week. Participating companies represent Azerbaijan, Australia, Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Great Britain, Germany, Georgia, Denmark, Israel, Kazakhstan, Russian Federation, United States of America, Turkey, Czech Republic and Switzerland.
The event presents analytical and laboratory equipment, pipe and pipeline equipment and products, waterworks, consulting services, irrigation systems, design and construction of water industry facilities, water desalination technologies and much more.
