In accordance with the decree, a pilot project will be implemented for the purification and reuse of wastewater discharged from the aeration facilities into the Caspian Sea in the Absheron region.

The Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan is tasked with:

- ensuring the necessary measures are taken to implement the pilot project taking into account advanced international experience;

- resolving other issues arising from this Decree.

The Commission established by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated April 15, 2020, No. 1986 "On measures to ensure efficient use of water resources" should address issues related to the implementation of measures for the pilot project.
